Our 30 years of experience have enabled us to actively observe and shape the transformation of the real estate industry. In the early years, our focus was on transactions and investments. Starting in 2000, we expanded our activities nationally and internationally to include real estate valuation. This was later complemented by the development of residential and commercial properties. Early on, we recognized the potential of new technologies to create future-proof and sustainable assets – a standard we continue to uphold to this day.

Klara Ritter
Vision & Operations Driver
Klara has been part of the management team since the beginning of 2025 and brings extensive expertise in how technological progress enables companies to unlock future potential — knowledge she now applies strategically in her leadership role. Prior to that, she was an Associate Partner at PT1, an early-stage VC fund based in Germany, where she invested in forward-thinking technologies with a focus on real estate, construction, energy, and infrastructure. Inspired early on by her father Reinhard, she developed a lasting drive to build and think entrepreneurially – a legacy she’s proud to build on today. To clear her mind and broaden her horizons, she occasionally swaps her laptop for a surfboard.
Reinhard Schmied
Founder & Strategic Guide
Reinhard has shaped the real estate industry for over 30 years and founded RSI – now RSI Square GmbH – in 1994. His extensive expertise spans transactions, valuations, and the development of sustainable residential and commercial real estate projects. He was co-founder and managing director of Areos Development and also served as managing director of American Appraisal in Austria. Now, he brings his wealth of experience to the table as he joins forces with his daughter Klara to lead RSI into its next chapter. And when he's not reimagining real estate, he enjoys the mountain views while brainstorming his next big ideas.
Michael Kuhn
Full-Cycle Real Estate Expert
Michael contributes deep expertise and a hands-on approach to RSI. With many years in leadership roles – including at ARE Austrian Real Estate and United Benefits Holding – he has become a true expert in developing and managing properties across the entire value chain. And when he’s not steering projects or visiting construction sites, you’ll find him climbing steep cliffs – because whether in the mountains or in business, Michael knows exactly how to navigate even the toughest challenges with calm, skill, and perspective.
Daniela Knauer
Controlling Lead
Daniela diligently manages accounting and finance at RSI, keeping the company’s operational engine running smoothly. She started her career as an executive assistant before transitioning to the real estate industry in 1999, where she specialized in controlling. Since 2017, she has been contributing her expertise at RSI, ensuring stability and transparency in all financial matters. And when she’s not immersed in numbers, she’s out discovering distant lands and drawing inspiration from new cultures.
